I'm originally from Irmo, SC, and graduated from The University of Mount Olive with a degree in Sports Management.

Before making my way to Thornblade I worked at the Van Der Meer Tennis Academy, in Hilton Head Island, SC, from 2002-2007 as the Assistant Teaching Professional/PTR Tester. I then worked at Wild Dunes Tennis Resort, in Isle of Palms, SC, from 2007-2008 as an Assistant Teaching Professional. I first came to Thornblade as the Head Teaching Professional in 2009 and was promoted to the Director of Tennis in 2013.

From the early age of 4, I fell in love with the game. Playing all throughout my childhood and later in college, I knew I wanted to work in tennis. I love being around people and helping them improve their games, but also helping them to improve their quality of life. Watching kids and adults take their games to another level and having fun while doing so, along with getting beginners of all ages involved in the game of tennis, is why teaching tennis is so fun for me!

Fun Facts:

I have been married to my wife, Tiffany, for 10 years. We have a daughter, Alivia (8) and a son Wilkes (5) who are both tennis players.

When I’m not at work, I’m either on the golf course or hanging with my family or coaching my kids in other youth sports, such as soccer, flag football, baseball, and basketball.
